Breitling and Triumph Motorcycles have announced a collaboration that unites the liberating spirit of motorcycling with the intricate and methodical craft of watchmaking.
In their third venture together, the Swiss luxury watchmaker and British motorcycle brand present the Chronomat B01 42 Triumph watch, integrating titanium and 18-karat red gold, graced with an anthracite dial. Furthermore, the perforated brown alligator-leather strap of the watch perfectly encapsulates the sense of freedom on the open road. Parallely, we have Triumph amp up the excitement and celebrate this freedom with its pièce de résistance: the Speed Triple 1200 RR Breitling Limited Edition motorcycle.
Daredevils craving the thrill of both worlds would not want to miss out on this exclusive Breitling X Triumph collaboration. The motorcycle is limited to 270 machines. And each lucky owner of Triumph’s Speed Triple 1200 RR Breitling Limited Edition motorcycle will be given a special QR code on their limited-edition certificate, to acquire the Chronomat B01 Triumph Owners Exclusive from Breitling.com.
Speaking of the design, this made-to-order objet d’art, with titanium and 18-karat red gold, echoes the motorcycle’s high-performance nature with a carbon dial and high-octane aesthetic of the limited-edition bike. The watch complements the dark shades of the motorcycle, while the golden details offer tribute to the Speed Triple 1200 RR’s class-leading Öhlins front forks.
Furthermore, a unique engraving on the case back mirrors the individual number inscribed on the top yoke of the bike, calling attention to the meticulous detail poured into creating a priceless set where the watch and motorcycle enrich each other’s story.
Initially crafted for the Italian aerobatics team Frecce Tricolori in 1983, the Chronomat surpassed the quartz trend by re-establishing mechanical chronographs to their erstwhile eminence.
The Speed Triple 1200 RR motorcycle is a tour de force when it comes to craftsmanship and precision engineering, a modern roadster flaunting an impressive metallic paint finish with hand-painted detailing, ultra-light carbon fiber parts, a unique high-specification Akrapovič titanium silencer, bespoke leather seat with impeccable French stitching.
Breitling’s essence is baked into the details with a custom Breitling start screen, the Breitling logo laser-etched onto the machined rear wheel finisher, and a distinct gold Breitling badge on the tank.
“The Chronomat and the Speed Triple 1200 RR exemplify our joint devotion to the highest standards of design and performance,” says Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling. “With Triumph, we share a rugged spirit that combines artistry with adventure.” Seeing eye to eye, Triumph CEO Nick Bloor says: “Teaming up with Breitling, we’ve united two worlds with our shared passions for precision, speed, and impeccable style.”
This collaboration is not just a convergence of paths, but a shared voyage of trailblazing spirit and bold design philosophy.
