Aman is expanding its presence in Africa with the launch of Aman Karingani, a new safari retreat in Mozambique’s Karingani Game Reserve. The property, which will include both a resort and branded residences, marks Aman’s first safari destination on the continent.
Set within a 150,000-hectare reserve that shares an 84-kilometre border with South Africa’s Kruger National Park, Aman Karingani occupies one of the region’s most diverse and secluded locations. The reserve’s mix of open savannahs, rolling woodlands, and seasonal wetlands provides shelter to a wide variety of wildlife, making it a prime destination for safari enthusiasts.
The resort is designed to provide privacy and comfort, with 30 standalone pavilions ranging from one to two bedrooms. Each pavilion opens onto a covered deck with a private pool and sweeping views of the surrounding landscape, creating an immersive experience of the natural environment.
A small collection of three- to six-bedroom branded residences will offer residents a full Aman lifestyle, including access to the resort’s services and amenities. Guests and residents alike will have the option to enjoy a serene swimming pool, dining experiences ranging from Aman’s signature concepts to local flavours, and wellness facilities at the Aman Spa, designed to foster restoration and a deeper connection to the landscape.

Aman Karingani became the brand’s second African property, following Amanjena in Marrakech, Morocco.
