Abhinav Mishra, the New Delhi-based designer known for his mirror work bridal wear, has launched Baradari, his Bridal 2026 collection, built around Indian craftsmanship, occasion dressing, and a campaign that documents the full emotional range of the Indian wedding.

Shot at Amanbagh in India, the collection moves through old courtyards, candlelit passages, and moonlit gardens. Baradari, which refers to a pillared hall or pavilion found in subcontinental palace architecture, draws from that setting with a sense of grandeur that runs through both the clothes and the campaign.

Mirror work remains the defining craft of the label, shaped over the years through consistent research, travel, and direct collaboration with artisan communities across North India. This season, that craft takes its most layered form yet. Signature mirror embroidery is worked through intricate hand techniques, delicate surface ornamentation, and tonal textures, and crystal detailing has been introduced alongside mirror work for the first time, producing a sharper and more luminous finish across each garment.

Baradari pushes into Indo-western glamour with more confidence than previous seasons. Silhouettes move between fluid and structured, with voluminous lehengas, expansive skirts, sharply cut blouses, fluid veils, cape layers, and contemporary separates that bring ease and sensuality into the bridal space. Shararas and bridal veils sit alongside pieces that feel relevant to the way India dresses today.

For menswear, regal sherwanis are introduced alongside the brand’s signature classic kurtas, a combination that covers the full range of the Indian wedding wardrobe.

Gold and silver mirror work runs through the collection alongside a palette of classic bridal reds and deep maroons. Rooted in the nostalgia of old world Indian bridal dressing, these reds are revisited with a more modern sensibility, recalling vintage wedding photographs in their tone and feeling. Rich jewel tones, softer neutrals, and muted pastels extend the palette, allowing the collection to move between grandeur and ease.

Surface detailing draws on dori, zari, beads, crystals, and dabka, building depth through technique. Fabrics include chanderi, organza, georgette, net, velvet, and suede, and prints spanning ikat, bandhani, florals, and geometric patterns add dimension throughout. Subtle influences from aristocratic dressing and Mongolian references bring in a quiet structural strength. Recurring bird motifs run through multiple pieces, tying the collection together with a sense of narrative and restraint.

Highlighting his affinity to the campaign, Mishra said, “For me, the campaign is where everything comes alive. It’s the purest expression of how I see the brand. The clothes are just one part of it, but the storytelling, the music, the emotion, that’s what really builds the world around it. Music especially is something I’m deeply involved in, because it shapes the feeling of the campaign in a way nothing else can. With Baradari, I wanted to capture that energy of celebration, the movement, the joy, but also the quieter, more personal moments that sit within it.”

Baradari sits within the bridal and occasion wear market, a segment that accounts for a substantial share of India’s luxury fashion economy, valued at over one billion dollars and continuing to grow. Abhinav Mishra’s label, founded in 2012, has built its presence across flagship stores in Delhi and Mumbai, with consistent demand from Indian communities settled across the UK, US, and the Gulf fuelling its international growth, driven largely by the Indian diaspora wedding market. Mirror work remains the most recognisable and commercially significant part of what the brand produces, and Baradari takes that craft further than the label has gone before.
