Inspired by nature, Buccellati’s ‘Naturalia’ exhibition will present awe-inspiring craftsmanship

To be unveiled at the Milan Design Week 2025, the exhibition proves the silversmith capabilities of the jewelry brands.

Buccellati is set to captivate audiences at Milan Design Week 2025 with Naturalia, an immersive exhibition that intertwines nature, artistry, and masterful silversmithing. Designed in collaboration with Balich Wonder Studio, known for its visionary experiential productions, Naturalia transforms Buccellati Silver Nature into an evocative journey through three breathtaking natural realms, the mountains, the forest, and the sea.

Berlin-based Studio Mary Lennox, known for its expertise in botanical design, elevates the Naturalia experience with immersive botanical installations that seamlessly blend with digital elements, creating a surreal, dreamlike ambiance.

One of the most notable collections on view at the exhibition is the Furry Animals collection, where delicate silver filaments meticulously recreate the textures of fur and feathers with remarkable realism.

Nicolas Luchsinger, CEO of Buccellati, said, “By presenting our beloved Furry Animals through the perspective of leading creative voices from the contemporary design scene, we reinforce Buccellati’s enduring relevance, expanding the boundaries of our artistry in innovative and unexpected ways. This project marks the evolution of our long-standing collaboration with Balich Wonder Studio and the beginning of a new exciting partnership with Studio Mary Lennox, both rooted in a shared vision and creative synergy.”

The journey follows a circular flow, guiding visitors through three distinct realms. The first space mirrors a lush forest, where ethereal video projections blend seamlessly with dense greenery, recreating an untouched wilderness. Here, woodland creatures like the deer and wild boar, along with intricate silver leaves, come to life. The second space captures the majesty of the mountains, evoking the feeling of standing atop a rugged peak. The environment fosters a deep connection with the landscape, where only the most resilient creatures, such as the eagle, find refuge in the harsh terrain.

Finally, visitors will be transported to the depths of the sea, through immersive soundscapes and video projections. Amidst the underwater world, silver shells and marine life, including the lobster, emerge from coral formations, their intricate details showcasing Buccellati’s unparalleled silversmithing. Bathed in a soothing blue hue, the space mimics the refraction of light underwater, creating a tranquil, hypnotic atmosphere.

These masterpieces invite visitors to observe their intricate details up close, offering a deeper appreciation of the artistry that defines Buccellati’s legacy. Each piece stands as a symbol of the Maison’s dedication to excellence, seamlessly blending luxury and nature’s beauty in a celebration of fine craftsmanship.

The Naturalia exhibition will be on view at Piazza Tomasi di Lampedusa, Milan, from April 8-13, 2025.
