Accor is bringing two of its most established luxury brands to Rajasthan in India—Raffles and Sofitel Legend, through a new partnership with Sukhani Ventures. The move taps into two very different sides of the state: the wild, expansive beauty of Ranthambore and the cultural weight of Jaipur’s Pink City.

Raffles Ranthambore, expected to open in mid-2027, will feature 63 villas, including luxury tents, family suites, and a honeymoon villa. Set inside Ranthambore National Park, the resort is designed for people who want comfort without losing the sense of being close to nature. The property will carry the brand’s signature touches—butler service, Long Bar, and a focus on local culture—while offering privacy and calm in a landscape known for Royal Bengal tigers, ancient ruins, and quiet lakes.
Vikram Sukhani, Chairman and Managing Director, Sukhani Ventures, said, “For a truly one-of-a-kind luxury experience, Raffles Ranthambore will blend a sense of glamour with the spirit of adventure alongside the brand’s legendary service, while Sofitel Legend Jaipur is set to bring its own unique history to the Pink City. We are excited to create two distinct hospitality offerings in one of the world’s most vibrant destinations and look forward to exploring more opportunities for continued growth in the years to come.”

The architecture and interiors are being shaped by IDEAS Architects and designer Jeffrey Wilkes, with a clear focus on balance—where luxury doesn’t overpower the setting, and every detail is made to add to the experience without taking away from the natural environment.
Omer Acar, CEO, Raffles Hotels & Resorts, said, “We are thrilled to grow our presence in India, working with Sukhani Ventures to bring Raffles’ inspirational spirit to the breathtaking landscape of Ranthambore. This extraordinary destination, where history and wildlife intertwine, provides the perfect setting for our legendary hospitality. With bespoke programming, highly-personalized service, and a design that pays homage to the grandeur of the region, Raffles Ranthambore will offer an unforgettable experience—one that blends a sense of adventure with the enchanted glamour our guests cherish.”
Just 130 km away, in Jaipur’s Kukas Amer region, the upcoming Sofitel Legend Sukh Bagh Jaipur will offer a different kind of stay. Scheduled for late 2028, it will include 260 guestrooms, 41 suites, and over 6,500 square meters of event space. Spread across 21 acres with gardens, pools, and bridle paths, the hotel is designed for everything, from large weddings to corporate gatherings.

This is the first Sofitel Legend in India and only the sixth globally. The brand is known for locations that blend heritage with thoughtful design, fitting for Jaipur, a city with a strong identity and a growing reputation for destination events.
Maud Bailly, CEO, Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems, said, “The signing of Sofitel Legend Sukh Bagh Jaipur marks a key moment in our growth as our third Sofitel and the first Sofitel Legend in India. With its rich history and artistic charm, Jaipur offers the perfect backdrop for our next chapter.”
Accor is continuing to grow its presence in India, it already operates more than 70 properties in India, across brands like Fairmont, Pullman, Novotel, Mercure, and ibis. The brand also has several future openings, including Fairmont Udaipur in 2025 and Sofitel Jaipur Jawahar Circle in 2028. Raffles already operates two properties in Udaipur and Jaipur.
These two resorts are designed to provide more than just luxury—they focus on offering guests a true connection to the spirit of Rajasthan. From forest villas to palace nights, they aim to immerse visitors in the region’s rich culture.
