Wynn Resorts is setting foot in the Middle East, in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, with Wynn Al Marjan Island set to open in 2027. Located on Al Marjan Island, roughly 50 miles from Dubai International Airport, the resort will house entertainment, dining, wellness, design, and leisure facilities in a single beachside property.

Wynn has been known to run several leading integrated resorts in the last two decades. The company holds more Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Awards than any independent hotel company in the world. Its roster includes Wynn and Encore Las Vegas, Encore Boston Harbor, Wynn Macau, and Wynn Palace in Cotai.
The in-house studio of the company, called Wynn Design & Development, covers the aspects of architecture, interior, landscape, art and guest experience as well. This gives Wynn control over every part of a guest’s stay, from the design of a room to the placement of an art piece in a hallway.

With a height of 352 meters from the Arabian Gulf, this tower has 70 floors, and 1,530 rooms and suites, offering a spectacular sea view. Out of these rooms, 313 suites belong to the Enclave, an exclusive boutique hotel located at the highest floor of the tower.
Guests will have access to 22 restaurants and lounges, a beach club, a state-of-the-art theatre, a five-star spa with a salon and fitness center, a shopping parterre, and an expansive beach and poolscape with 12 swimming and wading pools. The resort will also include a 98-berth deepwater marina and Coral Court, a dedicated events and celebrations venue.

Todd-Avery Lenahan, President and Chief Creative Officer of Wynn Design & Development, leads the design, alongside designers Anouska Hempel, Jacques Garcia, and Pinto. Their work brings together Wynn’s usual features, such as theatrical arrival moments, immersive interiors, museum-caliber art, lush landscaping, water, light, and a sense of discovery, with artistic and cultural elements tied to Ras Al Khaimah, the UAE, and the wider region.
Lenahan also curated the artistically rich collections in the resort’s public areas. Some of the items include prehistoric artwork, ancient work, Old Master, Victorian, and contemporary pieces. Highlights are a 66-million-year-old Triceratops skull, 18th-century Buccleuch vases, and Jeff Koons’ Tulips, alongside historically significant works tied to the Middle East and new pieces commissioned from regional artists exclusively for the resort.

The Ras Al Khaimah area offers a setting that is different from the rest of the UAE, as it possesses a beach, a desert bordered by the Gulf, and hills in the surrounding area. Many of its unique features can be easily accessed from the city of Dubai and other areas of the Middle East, making it a highly desirable vacation destination.
