In a groundbreaking collaboration that merges the worlds of high fashion and beauty, renowned Indian designer Sabyasachi has joined forces with beauty powerhouse Estée Lauder to bring a sensational line of lipsticks.
To be available from March 4, each shade represents India’s cultural splendor. Rouge Bengal, a satin matte warm red, evokes the fiery spirit, while Udaipur Coral, a satin matte burnt coral, seems to capture a sun-kissed hue. While Calcutta Red, an ultra matte blue-red, mirrors a bold and regal essence, Bombay Berry, an ultra matte deep berry has bright and rich allure.
Scented with warm, spicy cinnamon notes, Tropical Tangerine, Muslin Tea, Coffee Masala, Apricot Silk, Devi Pink, and Pomelo Rose complete the palette. In true blue Sabyasachi style, the lipsticks are named in celebration of Indian culture.
While satin matte lipsticks offer 10 hours of coverage with a creamy texture, ultra matte lipsticks deliver lasting color up to six hours, while nourishing lips with a blend of pomegranate and mango seed oils and moringa butter.
The discussion for this range of lipsticks between Sabyasachi and Estée Lauder was first sparked in 2019 and now sees a mesmerizing lineup. This collaboration is another signal of Mr. Mukherjee’s meteoric rise in the global arena, after his collaborations with Christian Louboutin, H&M, Disney, Taj Hotel in London, and other global brands. Interestingly, Sabyasachi’s last line of lipsticks was launched in collaboration with L’Oreal in 2018.
