Abraham & Thakore’s debut homeware collection is characteristically minimalist

Graphic lines and dots grace the entire collection, bringing a quiet and opulent look to your home.

Designers David Abraham and Rakesh Thakore are recognized for their sustainable and innovative design approach. As a nod to that philosophy, the duo has brought their first homeware collection, inspired by the inherent quality of tussar silk.

Abraham & Thakore Home Collection

Celebrating the congenial nature surrounding us, the collection reimagines luxury with its painstaking Indian craftwork. Exquisite and meticulous hand techniques such as kantha, bandhani and ikat spans through the entire collection. Along with a muted colour palette of black, ivory, clove and beige, the collection also uses motifs of graphic lines and dots – a recurring pattern in the brand design language.

The designers’ favorite piece from the collection is the Nazar marble cheese platter, inlaid with black dots and one red dot which reflects the age-old notion of a disruption in the pattern which wards off evil.

Breaking away from fast consumerism, Abraham and Thakore yet again pitch the ideology of luxury. Mr. Thakore says, “For us at Abraham & Thakore, luxury does not mean mass standardization, but small quantities that have taken time to produce. The homeware collection is a celebration of individuality, reiteration of Indian craft and the time taken to administer the painstaking task of tying warp and weft and weaving it to create ikat patterns.”

The assortment includes ceramic and marble crockery, table linen, cushion covers in velvet, silk and cotton, loungewear, and other accessories.
