December 7, 2022: Designed with the intent to reimagine shapes, design brand House of Knots has collaborated with luxury interior designer and architect Manish Choksi of Design Core Studio for an extraordinary collaboration. Titled “The Asymmetric Project”, the three rugs in convention-breaking designs and silhouettes are hand tufted by craftsmen using fine wool.
“This capsule collection of our all-exclusive rugs breaks free from traditional concepts of designs, shapes and symmetry, to create beauty in chaos and ambiguousness on an inspirational palette of pristine modernism. Crafted with love and diligence by our family of craftsmen, each piece is striking, feels soft underfoot and can add character and personality to your bedroom or any other space,” says Shivam Agarwal, Founder and Creative Director of House of Knots.
These modern rugs have a seemingly perfect geometric shape to create an abstraction that feels recognisable and radiates with an asymmetrical rhythm and subtle chaos.
Maintaining balance and harmony in an unorthodox blend of geometry is Bombay Velvet. Square, circle and rectangle come together with a flair of whimsy in refreshingly subtle greys juxtaposed with brilliant red and vibrant blues. A cotton fringe gives an extra dimension to this innovative rug. It is perfect as a passage accent, adding that element of surprise as one steps in.
The Speckles of Life is a pastel pink statement piece in a unique L shape. Speckled with abstract motifs in pops of soft hues, it gathers the magic of simple things while expressing life’s unpredictability and capriciousness to transcend your interiors into a cheerful landscape.
Glamorous in a delicate colour palette and emulsion of three corresponding erratic shapes, Spheres of Artistry is an artful, soulful rug that personifies style and sophistication. An Intriguing pattern that has the potential to define and enliven any minimal or bland interiors with its underlying boho allure.
