Zoya collaborates with British designer Alice Cicolini for a jewellery capsule inspired by Lhasa

Nineteen handcrafted pieces developed over five years feature uncut diamonds and enamel in 18k gold.

Zoya sets a new milestone in its history with an international partnership. The fine jewellery brand from the Tata Group has launched a limited-edition capsule with British designer and curator Alice Cicolini, marking its first creative collaboration with a global artist. The 19-piece collection is inspired by the architecture of Lhasa and highlights enamel—one of India’s most intricate art forms, through uncut diamonds, satin-finished 18k gold, and detailed craftsmanship.

Drawing inspiration from the layered architecture of Lhasa, the capsule explores texture, form, and colour through a design language that blends traditional Indian jewellery forms with a refined and modern aesthetic. Zoya, known for its innovation in coloured stones and diamonds, brings the same sensibility to this enamel-focused collaboration. Ms. Cicolini, who is known for tracing the journey of motifs across different cultures, brings her distinct design approach to each piece, one that is playful but informed by deep research and technique.

Designed with a strong feminine character, the 19-piece capsule features a palette of sage green, rose, and dew, brought to life through motifs such as cherry blossoms and chevrons. The use of uncut diamonds paired with satin-soft 18k gold adds a tactile quality to the jewellery, while the focus on enamel lends each piece a quiet complexity. Ms. Cicolini said, “When Zoya approached me with the idea of a collaboration celebrating uncut diamonds and enamel, I felt an immediate connection. Here was a house that honoured craft, story, and soul—design that dares to be different, yet deeply meaningful.”

Each piece in the capsule, ranging from sculptural rings and bangles to jhumkis and layered chains, has been created with attention to detail. The forms reinterpret traditional Indian styles through a contemporary architectural lens. The design narrative also takes cues from the journey of Alexandra David-Néel, the first Western woman to enter Lhasa, whose fearless exploration mirrors the spirit of the Zoya woman.

Revathi Kant, Chief Design Officer at Titan Company, said, “This first-of-its-kind international collaboration in Indian luxury jewellery reflects a woman who wanders freely, carrying multitudes by design, brought to life through sculptural silhouettes and feminine energy. At Zoya, five years of deep, deliberate enamel craftsmanship laid the foundation for this collection. In Alice, we found a true partner, someone who shares our devotion to celebrating India and helped us create a capsule that is both boundary-breaking and redefining.”

The collaboration took five years to develop, shaped by Zoya’s contemplative design ethos and Alice’s extensive experience in enamel craftsmanship. Over the past decade, Ms. Cicolini has worked closely with artisans in Jaipur to help preserve traditional enamelling techniques while evolving their application in modern design. A former Director of Arts & Culture at the British Council in India, her work has been exhibited at the V&A, Sotheby’s, Somerset House, and in partnerships with Fortnum & Mason and Carpenters Workshop Gallery. The Zoya and Alice Cicolini capsule is available by private appointment at select Zoya boutiques.
